Sevilla (Spain), 1–3 October 2014
Contact: drsantos@dmc.ulpgc.es

Welcome,
The International Workshop on Locational Analysis and Related Problems took place during 1–3 October 2014 in Sevilla (Spain). It was organized by the Spanish Location Network and Location Group GELOCA (SEIO), a group of over 140 researchers distributed across 16 Spanish universities. The network organizes annual meetings to promote communication among researchers and contribute to the development of location analysis and related problems. The previous meeting was held in Málaga in June 2013, celebrating the network’s 10th anniversary.
Topics of interest included location models, networks, transportation, logistics, exact and heuristic solution methods, and computational geometry. Researchers and practitioners presented works as oral communications or posters. Participation required submission of a short abstract.
